Mitchell Trout
Niagara Region, ON — 15+ years in technology
I build software because I want it to exist — from self-hosted streaming platforms and chat apps to Discord bots, browser games, and trading tools. Most of what you'll find in my projects started as a personal need or curiosity that turned into something real.
By day I work in L3 technical support at Panasonic Canada's Integrated Services Division, supporting Quick Serve franchise technology across North America.
Outside of work I've been an active member of the Stamford Lions Club since 2020 — serving as past president and leading the IT & Communications committee.
Experience
Tier 2 remote and onsite support for SMBs across Niagara. Managed a cluster of web servers (cPanel/WHM) including HTTP, SSL, SMTP, IMAP, DNS, FTP, and MySQL. Deployed VoIP systems, wired/WiFi networks, and new servers.
Programmed and tested POS menus using T-SQL and a proprietary IDE. Provided fourth-tier support for menu-related issues across Quick Serve franchises.
Monitored and managed customer systems and networks. Resolved helpdesk calls via remote support. Programmed custom desktop and web applications.
Volunteer
Member and past president of the Stamford Lions Club. Leads regular meetings and board of director meetings, volunteers at community events, and serves as Information Technology & Communications committee lead.
